Job summary

WM is seeking a Senior Accountant or Junior Controller to own full cycle accounting in a complex corporate setting. You will manage the general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close, and prepare financial statements with variance analysis.

The role requires US GAAP expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with finance partners in a fast-paced environment; hybrid work with some in-office days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) in Accounting or similar.
• 5 years of accounting experience, including 3 years in a mid to senior level role.
• Direct ownership of full cycle accounting and corporate financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own full cycle accounting activities including general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and month end close.
• Prepare financial statements, perform variance analysis, and analyze complex financial data.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and maintain effective internal controls.
• Partner with finance and business stakeholders while operating independently in a fast-paced environment.
