Job summary

Groundworks Operations, LLC seeks a Senior Accountant to support month-end and year-end closings, balance sheet reconciliations, and revenue recognition under ASC 606 in our Virginia Beach office. You’ll manage inventory accounting, prepare GAAP-compliant statements, and assist with audits, with opportunities for ownership equity and career growth.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting with 3+ years of experience; CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 3+ years of relevant accounting experience; CPA preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting and GAAP.
• Experience with foreign currency is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare general journal entries with supporting schedules.
• Analyze general ledger and subledgers for accuracy.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with inventory accounting and month-end close under ASC 606.
