Job summary

Groundworks, headquartered in the United States, seeks a Senior Accountant to manage month-end and year-end closings, balance sheet reconciliations, and inventory accounting under US GAAP. You will ensure proper revenue recognition, ASC 606 compliance, and unclaimed property processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting with 3+ years of experience; CPA is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• CPA highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of accrual-based accounting and GAAP.
• Experience with ASC 606 and inventory accounting.
• Experience with foreign currency a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare general journal entries supported by corroborating schedules.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and inventory accounting tasks.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closings under ASC 606.
• Maintain GAAP-compliant accounting records and support external audits.
• Coordinate with internal teams on unclaimed property processes and ad hoc reporting.
• Identify process improvements and assist system updates.
• Attend internal/external meetings and support cross-functional teams.
