Responsibilities

• Maintains awareness of customer needs and meets accounting standards for hospital objectives.
• Implements established departmental policies, objectives, quality improvement and safety standards.
• Resolves complaints, conflicts and operational problems.
• Coordinates with hospital staff to ensure accurate processing and maintenance of accounting systems and financial records.
• Completes assigned account reconciliations and analysis.
• Ensures resolution of discrepancies among accounts.
• Assists in the preparation and filing of tax filings (federal and state) and grant filings.
• Apprises upper management of activities and presents action plans for implementation.
• Maintains confidentiality of financial information.
• Provides training and assistance to management staff in chart of accounts interpretation.
