Job summary

Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. in Frederick, MD is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team at our corporate office. The role ensures accurate general ledger entries, reconciles subledgers, and supports cost analysis and payroll processing.

You will work closely with the CEO to provide timely financial data and assist with grant reporting and annual audits. Ideal candidates have five or more years in accounting/payroll, expertise in QuickBooks and Excel, and familiarity with HIPAA;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Minimum five years of accounting/payroll experience.
• Advanced QuickBooks and Excel proficiency.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy laws is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting tasks with emphasis on analysis, accuracy, and US GAAP compliance.
• Manage revenue and accounts receivable processing, posting deposits and reporting.
• Monitor AR aging and pursue collections within 30 days past due.
• Handle accounts payable, reimbursements, invoices, vendor payments, and ACH/credit card postings.
• Conduct monthly bank and subsidiary account reconciliations, asset inventory, and assist with monthly audits.
