Job summary

Save the Family Foundation of Arizona seeks an experienced accountant to implement approved accounting practices and ensure accurate financial reporting. You will oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and grant invoicing/billing functions, including cash receipts and general ledger activities.

Responsibilities include month-end close, audit preparation, grant management, and producing timely reports for staff and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Not-for-profit experience preferred.
• Payroll processing experience required.
• Proficiency with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT is highly regarded.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills required.
• Daily management of the general ledger.
• Month-end close procedures.
• Grant management, billing and related reports.
• Extensive accounts payable and accounts receivable experience.
• Balance subsidiary accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Financial reporting and audit preparation required.
• Internal controls experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll and gather necessary information.
• Prepare invoices.
• Report all 1099s for STF and ARM at year-end.
• Process accounts payable.
• Process accounts receivable.
• Generate internal reports.
• Compile figures for grant requests and contracts.
• Assemble work papers for annual audit.
• Submit all reports and monitoring activities timely and accurately.
• Adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
