Job summary

World Education Services (WES) is seeking a Senior Accountant, Reporting and Consolidation to lead close processes, prepare financial statements, and support audits in a remote-capable role.

The position covers intercompany and consolidation accounting, foreign currency entries, statutory reporting, and investment accounting within a global nonprofit environment. This role reports to the Senior Director, Corporate Controller.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience including close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audits.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; IFRS knowledge preferred.
• Experience with ERP/financial reporting systems; Sage Intacct preferred.
• Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency, or global environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including schedules, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Prepare financial statements and recurring reporting packages for Controller review.
• Own intercompany and consolidation accounting, eliminations, and cross-entity entries.
• Prepare foreign currency accounting entries and related schedules, FX translation and remeasurement.
• Support multi-country accounting, entity-level reporting, and local-provider reconciliations.
• Prepare investment accounting entries, gains/losses, and related reconciliations.
• Support audit, tax, and compliance schedules and respond to information requests.
• Review work prepared by others.
