Abbott in the United States is seeking a Senior Accountant in the IFO International Finance division to support the monthly close and SOP maintenance. You will liaise with Shared Service Third Party Accounting, FP&A and CFS to improve processes and ensure SOX compliance.

Located in Lake County, IL, the role requires 3-7 years of accounting experience and strong Excel skills, with SAP and SRM proficiency to analyze data and support journal entries and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and/or Business or equivalent experience.
• 3-7 years related work experience.
• Proficient in Excel.

Responsabilités

• Provide guidance to Shared Service Third Party Accounting colleagues.
• Review and approve journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations and complete monthly close.
• Maintain SOPs for Shared Services and Hub activities.
• Provide on-the-job training for new Shared Service activities.
• Navigate SAP to view documents, run reports, and analyze SAP data for analytics.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations; interact with FP&A, CFS, and other teams to improve processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and support SOX and internal audit.
