Job summary

Brown & Brown in Daytona Beach, FL seeks a Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This role performs operational, transactional, and technical accounting activities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and objectives, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

You will complete monthly journal entries, assist with full cycle month-end close in Agency and ERP systems, reconcile balance sheet accounts, run close reports, and maintain fixed asset rosters while ensuring proper

Qualifications

• 3-5 years full cycle general ledger accounting experience.
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office including Teams, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly journal entries.
• Assist with full cycle month end close functions in Agency and ERP systems.
• Reconcile balance sheet and other accounts monthly and as needed.
• Run monthly close reporting.
• Meet strict deadlines.
• Ensure all support for transactions is processed and filed accurately and timely.
• Assist in preparation of documents as required by established controls.
• Maintain fixed asset roster.
• Review and approve accuracy of supplier invoices.
• Assist with the calculation of ASC 606 monthly and quarterly entries.
