Job summary

Aqua America, Inc. in Bryn Mawr, PA, seeks an Accountant III to maintain the general ledger, analyze expense accounts, and support the close process. You will prepare journal entries, review ledgers, and ensure accurate financial reporting across subsidiaries.

The role requires a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, 3-5 years of experience, and preferably a CPA. Strong Excel, communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities with travel up to 25% are expected.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of related accounting experience.
• CPA preferred but not required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze monthly results to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
• Prepare and post journal entries and accruals as needed.
• Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts for accurate recording.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses.
• Coordinate with state management on CPR and capital project statuses.
