Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in Bellevue, Washington, seeks a Senior Accountant to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the Company’s financial reporting.

This hands-on role requires meticulous, analytical, and organized work. You will support monthly closings, reconcile general ledger accounts, lead AP day-to-day operations, prepare journal entries, monitor fixed assets, and assist with state tax filings for the Bardy Diagnostics Business Unit.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of progressive operational accounting experience.
• GAAP knowledge and technical accounting principles.
• CPA designation or active CPA is a plus.
• BA/BS in Finance or Accounting.
• Experience with Excel (advanced formulas), Power BI, NetSuite ERP.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly closings by the 2nd day of each month.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with proper documentation.
• Lead AP day-to-day operations: invoicing, vendor management, payments, inquiries.
• Prepare and review journal entries (accruals, prepaids, adjustments).
• Monitor fixed assets: acquisitions, depreciation, disposal; ensure proper accounting.
• Maintain tax functions including tax administration and filings (state taxes).
• Prepare state tax apportionment and sales/use taxes.
• Analyze tax letters and perform research for solutions.
• Ad hoc projects as assigned.
