Job summary

Cryoport Systems is a comprehensive life sciences supply chain partner seeking a Senior Accountant for a contingent, full-time role in Irvine, California. You will prepare monthly general ledger entries, manage fixed assets, and assist with SEC reviews and SOX compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, 5–7+ years in corporate accounting, and strong NetSuite/Concur experience, with advanced Excel skills and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 5-7+ years’ experience in a corporate accounting environment.
• Experience with statutory and GAAP.
• SOX audits experience.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite and Concur a plus.
• Intermediate or advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly general ledger entries: cash, prepaid, accruals, allocations, intercompany, and lease accounting.
• Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Track and allocate costs to different departments and cost centers.
• Prepare account reconciliations and roll-forward schedules.
• Assist with monthly balance sheet and income statement variance analysis.
• Assist with SEC quarterly review, annual audit, and SOX compliance.
• Prepare and file sales & use tax, business property tax, VAT, etc.
• Assist with local statutory audits and filings.
• Identify and drive process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.
