Job summary

Wander is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage the financial backbone of wander.com and Wander OS. This role is in person at the new Austin office (and Presidio SF as needed).

You will own close processes, revenue recognition under ASC 606, and support audits while partnering with cross-functional teams to scale our financial operations. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of accounting experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and comfort working in a fast-growing startup environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition for marketplace and SaaS models.
• Experience in a high-growth startup environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and year-end close, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition for marketplace and SaaS businesses per GAAP.
• Prepare financial statements and schedules for internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with Revenue, Product, and Operations teams to align accounting with new products.
• Support external audits, tax filings, and compliance."
• Help build and improve accounting systems, processes, and internal controls as Wander scales.
