Job summary

AlertMedia is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team in Austin. You will own ASC 606 accounting for contracts, lead the monthly revenue close, and partner with Deal Desk, Sales, RevOps, and Legal to structure compliant revenue. This role emphasizes scalable processes, audit readiness, and proactive business insights.

You will work in a hybrid setup in downtown Austin and contribute to a fast-moving, award-winning culture focused on protecting people and assets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. (Required)
5+ years of revenue accounting experience in SaaS/subscriptions. (Required)
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606. (Required)
Experience reviewing customer contracts and revenue recognition implications. (Required)
Experience owning monthly revenue close and related reconciliations. (Required)
Excellent written and verbal communication; highly organized. (Required)
CPA or ARM experience preferred. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Own ASC 606 accounting for customer contracts, renewals, expansions, and terminations.
Lead monthly revenue close, deferred revenue, and ARM reconciliations.
Develop SSP methodologies and collaborate with Deal Desk and Sales.
Interact with external auditors on revenue-related matters.
Assist in revenue reporting, trend analysis, and business insights.
