Job summary

Interstate Parking Company in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for assigned locations. You will ensure accurate, timely GAAP-compliant data and partner with Operations and regional leadership.

Responsibilities include month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, client reporting, budgeting support, and tax reporting. Growth-focused role with process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years progressive accounting experience; public accounting a plus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.
• Strong technical aptitude with accounting systems and ability to learn new applications.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communicator capable of cross-functional collaboration with Accounting and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities for assigned parking locations.
• Complete month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements and client reporting.
• Partner with Operations on budgets, performance, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, leases, GAAP, and procedures.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and client distributions.
• Prepare sales and use tax reporting and assist audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
