Kforce Inc is seeking a Senior Accountant in Tampa, FL to maintain accurate financial records, perform complex accounting tasks, and support GAAP compliance. The role involves journal entries, reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, and collaboration across departments for precise financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Accounting or Finance degree required; accounting degree preferred.
• 3+ years of Senior Accountant/accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close.
• Process improvement experience.
• Multi-entity accounting experience.
• Strong P&L experience.
• Logistics industry experience.
• Experience with a major ERP system.

Responsabilités

• General ledger accounting and maintenance.
• Prepare recurring and nonrecurring journal entries.
• Handle accruals, prepaids, depreciation, payroll, and other entries.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Review and analyze P&L activity.
• Investigate and explain account and P&L variances.
• Support month-end and year-end close.
• Assist with monthly management reporting and variance analysis.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
