Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage monthly financial reporting, GL maintenance, and reconciliations, with focus on rebates and pricing variances. You will prepare statements and support audits within a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 3+ years of experience with US GAAP, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in MS Excel/Word.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3+ years of progressive financial accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• Strong accounting, analytical and variance analysis skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills across Cornerstone.
• Proficiency of MS Excel and Word applications required.
• Solid accounting principles and cost accounting knowledge in manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly financial reporting activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements.
• Analyze and prepare journal entries and reconciliations for rebates and special pricing discounts.
• Respond to internal and external audit requests on a quarterly/annual basis.
• Research variances and resolve issues with process owners.
• Contribute to development of new or amended accounting processes.
• Conduct financial analysis as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
