Job summary

Bradford Health Services in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You will prepare and present financial packages, monitor revenue, operating expenses, and working capital, and collaborate with the Contract division on billing rates.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in finance or accounting, 3+ years in healthcare finance, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of GAAP/regulatory accounting. CPA/CFA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in accounting or finance, preferably healthcare.
• Experience with financial applications and budgetary tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare accounting (SEC, GAAP) and regulatory practices.
• Knowledge of data management and retrieval techniques.
• Understanding of healthcare billing cycles.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries per HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Detail statistical reporting on staffing, operations, FTEs, revenue.
• Coordinate and communicate budgets.
• Coordinate annual budget preparation and communication.
• Identify trends and developments in the business environment.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and update processes.
• Assist in training budget concepts for non-financial managers.
• Consolidate reports for rollup reporting within/between divisions.
• Partner with Contract division on billing rates accuracy.
• Present monthly/quarterly reports to Senior Management.
• Analyze weekly/daily trends and prepare Board level reports.
