FirstCall Mechanical in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead financial reporting and operations, working closely with the office administration team. The successful candidate will handle US GAAP reporting, journal entries, and close processes with a proactive mindset.

The role offers collaboration with the Controller, access to the FirstCall Academy and LEAP programs, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, 401(k) with match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Requires solid knowledge of US GAAP and financial close processes.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement packages.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Monthly financial reporting per US GAAP with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports, analyses, projections, and budgets.
• Prepare tax returns and documentation for external auditors.
• Coordinate and assist with audit preparations.
• Manage A/P and check runs; cash management and forecasting.
• Maintain fixed asset records and accounting controls.
• Process W-9 requests, COI requests, and other compliance tasks.
• Coordinate with Controller to provide financial information.
• Develop and implement process improvements in finance.
