Job summary

EIS Legacy LLC seeks a Senior Accountant to support the Accounting Manager and Corporate Controller, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting. The role requires detail-oriented, analytical professionals who can work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include month-end close, reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting using SAP. Collaboration across departments is essential to improve processes and confidentiality is paramount.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• CPA candidate with at least one section passed preferred.
• Minimum of five years of full-cycle accounting experience.
• SAP experience is required.
• Proficiency in Excel with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and complex formulas.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors independently.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to research discrepancies and follow financial transactions from inception to resolution.
• Demonstrated accountability and ability to take ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform month-end close activities and ensure accurate journal entries.
• Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
• Conduct expense and variance analysis and provide management insights.
• Generate daily, monthly, and ad-hoc financial reports.
• Support Credit, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Research and interpret financial data to resolve questions.
• Document and improve accounting procedures for efficiency.
• Utilize SAP and other software to perform accounting tasks.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate reporting and efficiency.
• Identify and correct errors while maintaining internal controls.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Mentor junior staff and stay current with industry standards.
• Assist in corporate accounting projects and audits.
