Job summary

Blue Grace Logistics is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead complex monthly close and ensure GAAP compliance across its US, Canadian, and Mexican subsidiaries.

This role is a seasoned individual contributor in the Accounting department, reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, and supports audits, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration in a PE-backed, high-growth freight brokerage environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• ERP and Salesforce-based systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute complex monthly journal entries ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Prepare reconciliations for high-risk or high-volume GL accounts and resolve variances.
• Prepare consolidated financial statement schedules and workpapers.
• Assist multi-entity accounting across U.S., Canada, and Mexico entities.
• Coordinate audits and respond to auditor inquiries with proper documentation.
• Mentor Staff Accountants and review their deliverables for accuracy.
• Respond to inquiries from operations and management regarding GL activity.
