Job summary

Berry Aviation, Inc. seeks a Senior Accountant to support general ledgers, financial reporting, and close processes. The role collaborates with Finance leadership to ensure GAAP compliance and timely reporting for management decisions.

The candidate will prepare financial statements, analyze variances, and support audits, including DCAA/DCMA. Strong Excel and ERP experience (NetSuite preferred) are required, with a bachelor’s in accounting or finance and 5+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience.
• CPA designation or MBA preferred.
• Experience with DCAA/DCMA audits preferred.
• Experience with government contracting, aviation, or defense preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly close processes, including journal entries and schedules.
• Record, review, and consolidate financial transactions; ensure accuracy.
• Prepare general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations monthly and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare financial analyses and cost justifications for capex and capitalization of expenditures.
• Maintain fixed asset register and support asset additions/disposals.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and internal reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Assist with internal, government, and external audits as applicable.
