Job summary

huMannity Medtec, a nonprofit medical research and development organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial operations and reporting. Reporting to the Controller, you will manage month-end close, reconciliations, and ensure GAAP-compliant records.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and expertise with full-cycle accounting and audits, collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with full-cycle accounting and audits.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements and general ledger activity for accurate reporting.
• Evaluate accounting transactions per GAAP and apply correct classifications.
• Manage fixed assets, sales tax compliance, and internal controls.
