National Material L.P. in Rosemont, IL is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, reporting to the Controller. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring accurate consolidation and financial reporting.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 4+ years of experience, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP. ERP experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 is required or preferred. CPA is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and evolving accounting standards.
• Advanced Excel skills including data modeling, pivot tables, and large datasets.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication across functions.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close with journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages and schedules.
• Analyze revenue, COGS, and inventory for trends and variances.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts across entities and ledgers.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting; review unit submissions and variances.
• Drive process improvements and automation to strengthen controls.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.
