NANA Worley, LLC in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Senior Accountant to support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes under the department lead. The role emphasizes general ledger accounting, accurate financial reporting, and adherence to GAAP.

You will assist with the annual audit, maintain reconciliations, and help improve internal controls, processes, and internal reporting requirements across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a 4-year college or university is required.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and willingness to accept responsibility for projects/processes.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Word and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint.

Responsibilities

• Record monthly transactions in accordance with GAAP and within department-stated timelines for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, leases, debt, intercompany transactions, shareholder liabilities, and other transactions as needed.
• Assist with monthly financial close activities.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts ensuring balances appropriately stated and reconciling items are cleared timely.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy for all deliverables.
• Assist with enhancement of department processes to promote efficiency and ensure internal control compliance.
• Assist with year-end audit including preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
• Follow policies and procedures; complete administrative tasks correctly and on time.
• Collaborate with project teams and project controls to ensure accurate project initiation and cost allocation.
