Job summary

Far Bank, a leader in fly fishing brands, seeks a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records. You will own close processes, reconciliations, and financial analysis to improve internal controls and drive growth.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of accounting experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel. This on-site role supports the Finance & Accounting department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proven profit improvement initiatives.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience with monthly financial close processes and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Sage, Epicor, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and other month-end adjustments.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances from budget, forecast, and prior periods.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and internal control requirements.
• Review general ledger transactions for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external auditors.
• Maintain effective internal controls and documenting accounting procedures.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement efficiency enhancements within accounting workflows.
• Lead the Finance & Accounting department in ERP system enhancements, testing, and process documentation.
• Provide financial analysis and accounting support for business initiatives and special projects.
• Serve as a resource for accounting-related questions across the organization.
• Support system implementations, upgrades, and optimization efforts including Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other accounting-related applications.
