Job summary

LHH is partnering with a northside manufacturing and distribution client in Indianapolis to hire a Senior Accountant reporting to the CFO. You will oversee and perform accounting tasks, financial reporting, and analysis to ensure accuracy and integrity of records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA track preferred.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience; public accounting preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills; NetSuite preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with annual financial review including preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Prepare journal entries and various cash and credit card account reconciliations.
• Maintain and update fixed asset classifications and general ledger.
• Maintain and monitor accounting records of subsidiary transport company.
• Monitor and manage accruals and prepaids.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with various teams to improve transactional accuracy and financial procedures and systems.
• Assist CFO with special projects, as needed.
