Job summary

Kilcoy Global Foods North America is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join the finance team. This role oversees general accounting operations, ensures GAAP compliance, supports financial reporting, and assists audits.

The Senior Accountant will contribute to financial accuracy and process improvements across the organization. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years of accounting experience in food manufacturing/CPG/distribution, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in food manufacturing, CPG, or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with SAP/Oracle and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Analyze financial data and variances to provide actionable insights.
• Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation.
• Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and process improvements.
• Prepare sales tax filings, property tax filings, and other regulatory reports.
• Monitor and maintain the integrity of financial records and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize reporting and efficiency.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the food manufacturing, CPG, or distribution industries.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger functions. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
