Job summary

Kilcoy Global Foods in Mundelein, IL, seeks an FSQA Systems Superintendent to lead the implementation, maintenance, and verification of food safety and quality systems across production shifts.

You will translate program requirements into consistent practices, provide technical oversight, and coordinate with Operations, Sanitation, Maintenance, R&D, and Regulatory to strengthen process controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, biology, or related discipline.
• At least five years of quality assurance or food safety experience in food manufacturing.
• At least two years of supervisory or team-lead experience across functions or shifts.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, sanitation verification, traceability, allergen controls.
• HACCP training appropriate to assigned responsibilities.
• Ability to analyze data, write clear procedures and investigation summaries, maintain accurate records, and use electronic QMS and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HACCP, GMP, allergen, and environmental monitoring programs; coordinate updates.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, forms, work instructions, and specifications; manage training.
• Coordinate validation studies and support floor personnel with evidence.
• Administer SafetyChain/QMS workflows, permissions, and reports; ensure data integrity.
• Lead internal audits and corrective action tracking; ensure escalation when needed.
• Prepare FSQA performance reports and drive actions based on trends.
