Job summary

Vericast is seeking an accounting professional to analyze and review routine and complex transactions, ensuring conformance with accounting policies and US GAAP. You will identify issues and present recommendations to Accounting management, supporting FP&A and operations.

The role involves month-end close activities, financial reporting, and participation in special projects across the organization. Collaboration with business units is key to delivering accurate financial statements.

Qualifications

• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process Improvements and Procedures: Demonstrates commitment to process improvement; identify and implement changes; maintain desktop procedures; standardize templates and systems to accelerate cycle time.
• 10%Systems & Interfaces: Ensure systems and interfaces are compliant; maintain and reconcile sub-systems to the general ledger; coordinate with various interfaces.
• 5%Special Projects: Participate in ad hoc teams to evaluate accounting requirements; support changing business needs.
• Month End Close: Analyze and classify accounting transactions; perform GAAP-based close; document journal entries; review others' work; ensure proper cutoff.
• 20%Financial Reporting & Analytics: Conduct analytics on financial statements; prepare documentation for quarterly/annual reporting; ensure disclosures.
• 20% General Accounting: Perform recurring technical accounting projects (revenue recognition, restructuring, etc.); perform reconciliations; mentor staff; ensure control environment.
• 25%Audit: Coordinate internal and external audits; ensure documentation aligns with balances and audit trails.
