Job summary

Accel Entertainment, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee financial accounting for our slot route operator business. You will manage month-end and year-end closes, prepare financial statements, and ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls across the organization.

Responsibilities include account reconciliations, GL maintenance, AP/AR oversight, variance analyses, budgeting support, and coordinating with external auditors. Strong analytical skills and leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience (gaming/hospitality preferred).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency with accounting software systems.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaboration across departments.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and process-improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes and financial statements.
• Perform detailed reconciliations and analysis of accounts.
• Oversee general ledger, COA maintenance, and journal entries.
• Review AP/AR transactions for proper coding and documentation.
• Prepare financial reports and management variance analyses.
• Assist budgets/forecasts and provide strategic insights.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulators for audits.
• Implement and maintain internal controls across operations.
