Job summary

Verista, Inc. is seeking a Senior GL Accountant to manage day-to-day general ledger activities, journal entries, and month-end close. You will work with FP&A and the finance team to ensure accurate reporting for management and the PE sponsor.

The role requires 2–5 years of accounting experience, a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, and strong Excel/ERP skills. This is a remote position ideally located in New England or willing to work remotely from the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-5 years of accounting experience, PE portfolio company a plus.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (DataRails, Salesforce).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Support monthly financial reporting packages for management and sponsor.
• Maintain GAAP-compliant general ledger records.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting, additions, disposals, and depreciation.
• Support audits with schedules and documentation.
• Prepare commission statements, accruals, and payments.
• Assist with sales/use tax filings and regulatory compliance.
• Identify process improvements to strengthen internal controls.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and diligence for add-on acquisitions.
