Job summary

Financial Talent Group is assisting a growing, privately held manufacturer in Colorado Springs, CO in hiring a Senior Accountant. The role is the sole in-house accounting professional, reporting to the CEO and handling full-cycle accounting across several entities.

The position is on-site for about six months with potential hybrid flexibility afterward. Salary ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 per year, based on experience, with a standard Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience managing multi-state sales tax compliance.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.”
• Experience with full-cycle accounting, month-end close, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting operations for 6–7 entities (6 small transactional).
• Oversee general ledger maintenance, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for executives.
• Manage accounts payable, vendor payments, cash activity, and bank reconciliations.
• Oversee multi-state sales tax reporting, filings, and compliance.
• Maintain inventory accounting, reconcile balances, and record COGS.
• Coordinate payroll accounting with a third-party provider.
• Collaborate with external CPAs on year-end closing and tax matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
