Job summary

Kemper CPA Group LLP in Marion, Illinois is seeking a Senior Accountant to perform advanced accounting, tax, and auditing duties. This non-management role includes staff development and direct client contact where needed.

The position requires a bachelor’s in accounting with 3–5 years in public accounting, CPA preferred, and proficiency in MS Word/Excel. Some overtime is expected during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 3–5 years public accounting experience in audit and tax.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Strong communication, detail orientation, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly controllership tasks including AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, cash flow analysis, and tax returns.
• Complete moderate tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts.
• Assist with audits and review staff work.
• Research client questions and manage multiple requests efficiently.
