Job summary

Kemper CPA Group LLP, a top 100 public accounting firm with 26 offices, seeks a Senior Accountant in Vincennes, Indiana. This advanced non-management professional will handle a variety of general accounting, tax, and auditing assignments and will assist with staff development and direct client contact as needed.

The position requires a bachelor's in accounting and 3–5 years of public accounting experience in audit and tax; CPA preferred. Some overtime during peak seasons is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 3–5 years of public accounting experience in both audit and tax.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Technology skills to support assignment completion.
• Effective verbal and written communication with clients and staff.
• Contribute to skill building among interns and newer staff.
• Ownership of work and initiative to complete tasks.
• Ability to work under time constraints.
• Analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly controllership functions including AP, AR, payroll, bank reconciliations, financial statements, and monthly reporting.
• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow analyses, notes, schedules, and tax returns.
• Complete moderately complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates.
• Coordinate and lead audit engagements and review staff work.
• Research issues and respond to client and staff questions clearly.
• Manage multiple client requests efficiently and timely.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
