Job summary

H-E Parts International seeks a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Evansville, Indiana. The role covers month-end close, fixed assets, lease accounting, cash reconciliations, and treasury activities, with growth into additional responsibilities over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables, lookup functions, formulas, data analysis, and large data sets.
• Experience with ERP or other accounting systems.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with foreign currency transactions, CAD-denominated activity, is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate variances and identify issues.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills across functions.
• Ability to independently manage assigned responsibilities while collaborating with Finance.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Own assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts and investigate variances.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests and financial reporting.
• Own fixed assets accounting, depreciation, disposals, and lease records.
• Support cash management, bank reconciliations, and treasury processes.
• Assist with accounts receivable processes and credit-related activities.
• Perform analysis and identify opportunities to improve processes and automation.
• Participate in inventory counts and travel as needed.
