Job summary

American Vanguard is seeking a Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting and SEC Reporting to join the Irvine, CA accounting team on-site. The role focuses on external reporting, SEC filings, and process improvements to support the corporate close.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of public accounting experience with SEC focus, CPA or eligibility, and strong Excel/Oracle QAD experience. This is a full-time on-site opportunity at our Irvine location with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEC reporting.
• Public accounting background required.
• CPA or CPA eligibility preferred.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with US GAAP disclosures and MD&A.

Responsibilities

• Assist with external audit support and quarterly reviews.
• Draft 10-Q and 10-K financial statements and footnotes.
• Review controls and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support special projects and system integrations related to close processes.
• Provide ad hoc financial reports as needed.
