Job summary

Canteen North America is seeking a Senior Accountant - Financial Risk & Controls to strengthen and protect our business as part of a line of defense. This high-impact role reports to the Senior Finance Manager and partners with field and corporate teams to ensure a compliant risk and controls environment.

You will own the Internal Controls framework, gather documentation for control reviews, and help educate staff on RACMs while supporting remediation and process improvements across a complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA, CIA or similar certification preferred.
• Experience with SOX/COSO, internal or external audits, or risk assurance.
• Exposure to SAP S/4, HFM, or large enterprise environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing compliance of the Internal Controls framework.
• Gather support and documentation for review of controls and action items.
• Ensure business processes comply with controls to manage risks.
• Educate field associates on Risk and Control Matrices (RACMs).
• Provide support as RACMs are documented and operated.
• Collaborate with process owners to document process flows and procedures.
• Evaluate control deficiencies and oversee remediation.
• Identify areas for improvement in control design and execution.
• Develop guidance to support control compliance and evidence maintenance.
• Partner with field teams on cross-departmental projects to raise the control environment.
• Stay updated on changes affecting internal controls and adjust accordingly.
• Support training on internal control requirements.
