Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior Accountant in Financial Reporting to own equity accounting, assist in SEC filings, and ensure US GAAP-compliant financial statements and disclosures. You will partner with cross-functional teams, coordinate with external auditors, support SOX controls, and drive process improvements to streamline end-to-end equity administration as the company grows globally.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline.
3+ years accounting experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Workiva, Wdesk, and Netsuite preferred.
Detail-oriented with project management abilities.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning and execution of SEC filings (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) and XBRL tagging.
Prepare financial statements including cash flow and footnote disclosures under SOX controls.
Prepare stock-based compensation journal entries and reconciliations under US GAAP (ASC 718).
Maintain documents for internal/external SOX auditors and respond to data requests.
Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly and annual financial reviews and audits.
Suggest and implement process improvements to streamline workflows.
Establish communication with cross-functional partners.
Support technical accounting research and special projects.
