Job summary

AlffCo in Omaha, NE is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team. You will reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger, prepare financial statements, and analyze monthly results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

The role also involves AR support, sales tax filings, budgeting input, and internal controls monitoring. You’ll work closely with management to ensure timely reporting, manage multiple projects, and contribute to process improvements while upholding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum of 3 of years of prior accounting experience.
• Understanding of accounting best practices.
• Knowledge of IFRS, U.S. GAAP or another accounting framework.
• Data entry skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• High attention to detail.
• Keen organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Produce work with high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.
• Prepare financial statements.
• Assess internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.
• Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.
• Assist AR team with recordings and processing receivables and cash receipts.
• Assist with tracking sales tax / filing sales tax returns.
• Calculate and manage sales commission programs.
• Assist in the design and preparation of budgets reviewed by management.
• Maintain required records, reports, and files in an organized manner.
• Perform other related duties as directed within project guidelines.
• Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements.
• Monitor variances from the projected plan.
• Supervise accounting staff.
