Job summary

AlffCo is seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations across the organization and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting. You will supervise the accounting team, influence financial strategy, and partner with executives to improve efficiency.

The role focuses on close processes, internal controls, audits, and cross-functional collaboration to support growth and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Experience preparing financial statements and supporting external audits.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, cash management and financial analysis skills.
• Experience managing accounting staff and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to clearly communicate financial information to financial and non-financial audiences.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Office tools.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software and financial reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, fixed assets and bank reconciliations.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure accurate statements.
• Prepare internal and external financial reports for leadership and ownership.
• Develop, implement and maintain strong internal controls to protect assets.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax work with auditors and advisors.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships and treasury functions.
• Develop and improve accounting policies and automate processes for efficiency.
• Supervise and develop accounting personnel while fostering accountability.
• Collaborate with operations, HR, sales and leadership to support business goals.
• Maintain compliance with corporate policies and internal controls.
