Job summary

AlffCo is expanding its finance team and seeks a Senior Accountant to manage core accounting functions, reconcile ledgers, and prepare financial statements. The role supports AR, sales tax filings, and budget processes while ensuring internal controls and compliance with reporting requirements.

The position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least 3 years of accounting experience, with strong data entry skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum of 3 years of prior accounting experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS, U.S. GAAP or another accounting framework.
• Data entry skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Produce work with a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.
• Prepare financial statements and monthly analyses.
• Assess internal controls and perform risk reviews.
• Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement, and variance analyses.
• Assist AR team with receivables and cash receipts.
• Assist with tracking and filing sales tax returns.
• Support budgeting process and budget reviews.
• Supervise accounting staff.
• Ensure compliance with local reporting requirements.
• Maintain organized records and files.
• Adhere to AlffCo values and professionalism.
• Occasionally weekends or night shifts may be required.
