Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of managerial or supervisory experience.
• Solid foundational knowledge of GAAP.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead employees.
• Solid Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with internal controls and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee team of approximately 12 staff responsible for capital project accounting and fixed asset sub-ledger maintenance.
• Identify and resolve issues related to fixed assets with cross-functional teams.
• Review journal entries and account reconciliations for completeness and accuracy.
• Review fixed assets related report support for external filings (SEC, FERC, state commissions).
• Oversee accounting for software and complex transactions per GAAP and FERC.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and month-end close processes.
