Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• 2-5 years Accounting Experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures in manual and automated systems.
• Understand the concepts of report writing.
• Must be detail oriented, analytical, and organized.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Background investigation as per company policy.
• Able to work well with coworkers in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare FLASH reporting and oversee month end closing.
• Prepare quarterly Call Reports for First National Bank Texas and Fort Hood National Bank.
• Assist in the preparation of the Holding Company Call Report and Consolidated/Combined working papers.
• Prepare quarterly FCS Board Reports.
• Prepare journal entries (month/quarter end and allocations), data/statistical analysis, monthly report prep, and budget participation.
• Review and sign-off on Staff Accountant entries and reconciliations.
• Configure, test, and implement new software to comply with new Accounting Standards.
• Oversee monthly Capital Expenditure preparation, processes, and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial and managerial reports.
• Oversee property renditions and property taxes for 300+ branches.
