Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage complex financial records and prepare executive-level reports. You will monitor performance against budget and collaborate with Corporate Finance and campus leadership.

Requires strong GAAP knowledge, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to mentor staff. A Bachelor’s in accounting is required; CPA is preferred. This is a full-time on-site role in Atlanta, GA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 7 years of experience in corporate accounting or 3.5 years in public accounting.
• CPA or master’s degree may substitute 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Completes month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and guides the team.
• Records period-end journal entries and ensures accuracy of accounting treatment.
• Analyzes general ledger interfaces (AP, payroll, revenue) and acts as SME.
• Prepares complex financial reporting for entities, activities, and real estate.
• Supports audits, tax work papers, and interaction with external auditors.
