OrthoIllinois is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the Director of Finance by handling advanced accounting tasks and reporting on financial operations for the organization and its affiliates.

Responsibilities include coordinating monthly close, preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations, and assisting in audits and budgeting, with a focus on accurate financial analysis and clear reporting for managers and executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
• CPA preferred.
• Minimum five years of accounting or finance experience.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft and Google suites.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly close processes and ensure costs are recorded.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reports, and reconciliations.
• Complete bank reconciliations.
• Assist with year-end audits, compilations, and tax return preparation.
• Assist in annual budget preparation.
• Analyze financial information and summarize drivers.
• Perform variance analysis and advise management.
• Partner with department leaders to support financial reporting.
