Job summary

Longacre-Asset-Management-LL seeks a Senior Staff Accountant to join the accounting and finance team. This role emphasizes analytical financial reporting, variance analysis, and strong control over the general ledger, with a focus on accuracy and timely management reporting.

The candidate will lead monthly close, prepare comprehensive financial statements, and collaborate with leadership to translate data into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, with demonstrated experience in financial reporting, financial analysis, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliations.
• CPA or CPA-track experience is a PREFERRED.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.
• Analyze income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, and supporting schedules.
• Perform variance analysis (MoM, YoY, budget-to-actual, forecast-to-actual).
• Conduct bank and balance sheet reconciliations; investigate discrepancies.
• Support month-end close, journal entries, and general ledger analyses.
• Develop financial reports and management-ready insights for leadership.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analyses.
• Support audits and strengthen internal controls.
