Job summary

KBR, soon becoming Trinzic, seeks a Senior Accountant to support the Defense & Intelligence Controllership with close, reporting, and internal control improvements. You will collaborate with Finance, IT, and operations to strengthen processes while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX.

The role offers growth during the spin-off transition, focusing on automating reporting and enhancing financial controls across business units consuming government and commercial missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including close processes and internal controls.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, FAR, CAS, and general accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations to support monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and controls.
• Develop automated reporting using Power BI, Power Query, and Excel.
• Support SOX control testing, documentation, and remediation.
• Assist audits and resolve discrepancies with cross-functional teams.
