Giga Energy in Houston is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Controllership team. You’ll own key general ledger areas, drive a clean monthly close, and support high-level reporting within a lean, high-performing group working at a pace aligned with our growing AI infrastructure business.

This role emphasizes building financial infrastructure to match business speed, with hybrid onsite expectations at our Houston/San Francisco hubs.

Qualifications

2+ years of accounting experience in corporate or public accounting.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Own and maintain assigned general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of journal entries on a monthly basis.
Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process including preparation of accruals, prepaid amortization, and recurring journal entries.
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve variances in a timely manner.
Assist in the preparation of internal financial statements and management reporting packages.
Building and owning end-to-end processes for a product P&L, from revenue recognition and AR management to product costs.
Provide supporting documentation and schedules for external audits and tax preparation.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation standards.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and FP&A to ensure accurate financial data.
