Quantum Recruiters Inc is seeking a Staff Accountant for our client in Eugene, Oregon. This in-office role combines structured accounting tasks with dynamic, day-to-day support, delivering timely financial insights and supporting project-based decisions.

The position emphasizes accelerated month-end close, variance analysis, automation, and process improvements, with involvement in budgeting and intercompany reconciliations. CPA is a plus and manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA a plus.
• 4+ years’ experience in manufacturing, construction, or job-costing industries.
• Experience with ERP systems, generating financial statements, and reconciling balance sheet accounts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end journal entries and GL reconciliations.
• Own accelerated month-end close process within compressed reporting.
• Generate monthly departmental financial statements and reporting packages.
• Manage intercompany accounting and debt account reconciliations.
• Lead budgeting and support the financial planning process.
• Perform variance analysis to support forecasting and planning.
• Assist with internal and external audits and ensure compliance.
• Identify process improvements and automation to boost efficiency.
• Maintain fixed asset records and asset management.
• Develop tailored financial reports for management.
• Cross-train and back up A/P, A/R, cost reporting, inventory, and ERP maintenance.
• Leverage ERP tools to streamline workflows and data integrity.
• Support working capital initiatives (AR/AP, inventory, expense controls).
